The below is a Tulu song entitled "Tulu Nada" composed by Dr. Nagabhushan Moolky of Oak Brook, Illinois. This song is about Tulunad (Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasaragod districts). Tulu Nada by Dr. Moolky Tulu people physically strong like iron but their mind is soft like butter. By hard work they earn their bread. Tulu people are by birth smart people there is no comparable to them in this world and they made fame and name. Beautiful Coconut, areca nut, Banana tress, paddy fields and sea are most beautiful, let go and see. Netravati river gives us life sustaining water for drinking and cultivation. Kuduremukha iron ore, paddy, sugar cane and fish are the richness of Tulunadu. Abbakka Rani repelled portugesse foreign invasion and ruled Tulunadu. Tulu King Krishna Devaraya ruled world famous Vijayanara empire. Let us wish to have his efficieny and strength and live as a strong people. World is appreciating Yakshagana, bhoota kola, nema, pad dana, and Koti-Chennaya story. Child to old people consume salt from western sea, let us repay for that by doing good things to Tulunadu.
