​Nomination Form for BANA Board of Directors

​The Board of Directors of the Bunts Association of North America (BANA) plays an important role in guiding the organization’s long-term vision, governance, continuity and strategic growth. Directors help shape the future of BANA through active leadership, collaboration, accountability and meaningful community impact. The role requires active participation, time commitment, teamwork, develop next-generation leaders and a shared commitment toward advancing BANA’s mission and community goals.

​Nomination Criteria (summary):

  • Nominee and nominators must be BANA members in good standing

  • Each candidate must be nominated by one member and supported by two additional members in good standing.

  • Each nominator can nominate only one candidate

  • A brief candidate statement (within 100 words) may be submitted


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic planning and long-term organizational growth

  • Lead and drive measurable community impact initiatives

  • Build relationships across members, regional leaders, sponsors and partners

  • Provide governance support and financial oversight

  • Strengthen membership engagement and community outreach

  • Preserve organizational continuity and institutional knowledge

  • Support fundraising, sponsorship outreach, and donor engagement

  • Support youth, cultural, charitable, educational, and community initiatives

  • Lead by example, mentor emerging leaders and encourage youth participation


Minimum Expectations and Time Commitment

  • Minimum commitment of approximately 8–12 hours per month toward Board responsibilities, meetings, planning and community initiatives

  • Maintain at least 80% active participation in Board meetings, strategic discussions and organizational decision-making

  • Lead and help execute at least two measurable community impact initiatives annually

  • Provide quarterly updates to the Board and community on initiative progress, outcomes and impact

  • Actively participate in regional events, leadership meetings, organizational activities and the BANA Convention

  • Remain responsive, engaged, collaborative and professional in organizational communications and planning activities

  • Contribute ideas, networks, mentorship and leadership toward the continued growth and sustainability of BANA

  • Board member contributions, initiatives and accomplishments highlighted during the General Body Meeting at the BANA Convention as part of organizational transparency, recognition and community engagement initiatives

 

Term : 6 years

If there is more nomination than open position, an election will be held at the General Body Meeting during the 2026 convention in accordance with the BANA Constitution and guidelines.
