She comes from a lineage of pioneers—people who quietly pushed boundaries, one plate, one patient, one project at a time. Her childhood home was one where Sunday kori rotti was sacred, business plans were casually discussed over dinner, and family values were deeply rooted in Bunt heritage and pride.

Sameera Rai ( Sammie Rai) recently won a Bronze Medal for  USA at the 2024 World Junior Racquetball Championships held at Guatemala City, Guatemala ( Dec 6th - Dec 12th, 2024) . Sameera  is the daughter of  Sathwik Rai and Laura Rai & granddaughter of late Prabhakar Rai , Usha P Rai  and Cheryl Hinkle and currently resides in the California Bay Area. Sammie & her doubles partner, Sloka won a Bronze Medal for Team USA in the Girls Under 10 Doubles event.

Renuka Ballal, daughter of Dr. Hebri Satish and Mallika Ballal, and niece of Dr. Hebri Suresh Ballal (Gundu), has achieved another feather in her cap. She has created the visual effects for "Etoille" ("Twelve"), a show set for release on Amazon Prime. Renuka, a Brooklyn, NY-based visual effects artist
