Avani Rai - National 4-H Youth in Action award

Avani Rai is a sophomore at Harvard University studying Economics and Statistics. 

 This past year, she received the national 4-H Youth in Action award, given to four youth nationwide, for her exemplary service in improving healthy living across the state of Illinois. 

 She was further recognized for her work when she was selected to lead the Illinois State Fair parade representing 4-H as a Grand Marshall, behind Governor J.B. Pritzker and Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton. 

 Avani also received a nomination to the Jacob Wendell prize, on the basis of academic success in her class.
