Diya Shetty began her badminton journey at the age of six in Virginia, starting with what was once a simple backyard sport. Guided by her parents, Meghna Hegde and Bipin Shetty from Ashburn City in Northern Virginia, those early playful rallies evolved into a focused passion and disciplined journey toward representing her country on the world stage.
Now just 15 years old, Diya is a USA national badminton player, competing in international BWF tournaments in the Women’s Singles category. In 2025 alone, she has traveled extensively across the globe, proudly representing the United States and making her mark against top junior talent worldwide.
