Rai Sisters Shine in National Racquetball Spotlight

At just 10 years old, fifth-grader Sameera “Sammie” Rai is the youngest female member of Team USA Junior Racquetball and is already a multiple international medalist. After competing in two junior World Championships in Bolivia 2023 and Guatemala 2024 earning a bronze medal at age nine, Sammie just represented Team USA at her third IRF 2025 World Junior Racquetball Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
She just won 2 bronze medals in Girls under 10 doubles and U10 singles Blue division finishing 7th in the World in Under 10 Girls singles division.
Racquetball runs deep in the Rai family. The sisters were introduced to the sport by their father, Sathwik Rai, a former Team India amateur silver medalist. Her younger sister Sasha, a second grader at Patterson Elementary in Naperville, IL has already won 2 golds and 2 silver medals at national junior championships (under 8 years)
