An Unexpected Email

It was a quiet Monday morning, an unexpected email arrived from Siri Naomi—a name unfamiliar to me, yet her message was bold and compelling. She offered to build a better version of the BANA website. All she asked for in return were a few references to help her find future clients. It was bold of her to state, and I had my doubts...

Fueled by grit and driven by results

I hesitated. Caution often prevails, so I requested a mockup and references, expecting nothing more than a sketch or a half-formed idea. It was already 8:30 pm PDT when I sent the request.

By the time I woke the next morning, Siri had already built almost the entire site. Not a rough draft. A fully formed, clean, beautiful design. I sent her feedback, half-expecting the process to stretch on. But by the next evening, she had taken every note, refined every detail, and returned with a finished piece that felt like it had been made with years of experience, not hours. In that moment, I realized Siri wasn't just good—she was extraordinary. She followed through.

Early life and family Since then, I’ve learned more about her remarkable journey. Siri Naomi, at just 18 years old is already deep into her second year of college coursework. She is studying Computer Science and Archaeology at the University of Cambridge, spending two years of her degree in Rhode Island until around August 2027.

Raised in a home rich with history —both her parents were archaeologists. Her mother was a Bunt woman from Moodbidri; her father was a Catholic scholar from Spain. Loss came early: her mother during the pandemic, and her father just last May. Her older brother, now a book editor, carries forward the family’s love of history and mythology. For the St. Agnes alum - he's worked on books of two former lecturers.

Current goals

Determined to forge her own path, Siri has turned to the skills she taught herself—building websites and designing with a clear and intuitive hand. She is currently striving to reach a financial goal to continue her studies without burden. Every project she undertakes is a step toward sustaining her educational journey.
